Early Jazz Cafe today on WUEV 91.5 FM (wuev.org). Because of a UE baseball broadcast (UE vs So. Ill.) at 3 pm. the Jazz Cafe will open at 1 pm. Featured today will be an interview with UE alumnus, Wes Grantom. Wes is the guest director for the closing production in this year’s UE theatre season, “Once In A Lifetime” Tune in for your only place for jazz (and a little something else) in the Tri-State!

Sticks-n-Stones, the great house band at the Royale Brews and Blues at Club Royale (2131 W. Franklin) will be in the house for a chat and a jam. This band kicks it every Wednesday nite and is one not to be missed. Grammy award-winning bassist Jeff Davis (Amazing Rhythm Aces, Steel Head Band) is “Stick” and the Stones consist of Ric Bryne (guitar), Brian Glick (drums), and Eric Scales (keys, sax).
